Trail Rides - See the North Carolina
mountains like never before! Enjoy customized horseback riding
with experienced trail guide Tim Vines. 2 to 4 hour rides on
trustworthy horses with easy trails in and around Blowing Rock

- The
Blowing Rock - North Carolina's oldest
travel attraction since 1933, is an immense cliff 4,000 feet
above sea level overhanging Johns River Gorge 3,000 feet
below. Open all year weather permitting.

Hawksnest Zipline - We loved the Eagle tour.
Over 3 miles of zip lines through the woods, over fields and
streams, from one peak to the next. $85 per person and worth it.

Valley Zipline - Also an
option, just haven't personally gone with them. Looks great
also.

- The
Greenway Trail - A
beautiful paved walk meandering several miles along the New
River, crossing a covered bridge, and several other stone and
wooden bridges. Landscaped, with flowers, birds, butterflies,
picnic tables and lovely park benches for resting. The
Greenway Trail is open year-round, free of charge, located off
State Farm Road in Boone, or can be accessed at the Watauga
Parks & Recreation Center.

Ski Mountain - Great fun! This place was
wonderful! They helped so much with the kids!!! The snow was
great and we were able to find something for everyone!

Ski rental - Skis,
snowboards, etc. for less them renting at the mountain. Smaller
deposit then at the mountain.
- Tweetsie
Railroad - North Carolina's original family
theme park, Tweetsie Railroad is a unique attraction that
allows children and families to explore their imaginations and
a whole lot more. Be a cowboy, cowgirl or an engineer. Shop
along Main Street, pan for gold, or visit the animals in the
Deer Park. Tweetsie has amusement rides for all ages and live
entertainment throughout the park. And, of course, hop aboard
our historic train for a fun-filled three-mile Wild West
journey through the scenic mountains.

Golf Club - 3 minutes from the cabin, this is
a beautiful course that is an absolute pleasure to play.
